If you have to go chrome.... go with the bolts...

bolts for sure,I personally think the toppers look Cheap,I would get stainless so you don't have to worry about them rusting,check fle-bay they usually have them on there,good luck

I'll second the stainless. Gives you the best of both worlds without the maintenance headaches of rust.
They are not cheap, but they will do the job the right way the first time.

I'd went with polished stainless bolts. They will never rust like chrome. paid 71 bucks on eBay for a kit that did the whole motor.

Oh yeah, they won't fall off.

Original owner put hot toppers on every possible nut and bolt on my 2005 SE Fat Boy, before I got it. I think they look fine. They look a lot better then when the stock nuts and bolts start to get the white corrosion on them. They have been on for 4 years and still look like new.

BOLTS, BOLTS, BOLTS.... Caps is a waste of money. I used 12 pt. chrome bolts. Looks real sweet, from http://www.gardner-westcott.com/. Also, can get them at http://www.chromebolt.com/.
