The kit I installed came with a thinner washer for the left side axle that needed to be replaced in order to put the nut back on. Check and see, you should have had one in your kit. I installed these on a 07 as well.

yea i put the smaller washer on but when you tighten up the axle nut there isnt enough of the axle that comes though........just the threaded part makes it through the washer with the notch in it and i need the fatter part of the axle to make it through too so it will allign properly

When I had mine on the lift I did use a rubber mallet, and whacked it. Did you try tapping the other side of the axle yet to help it though?

yea i tapped it i can get the nut on but when i tighten it it doesent go far enough to put the fatter part of the axle in the spacer with the notch in it.......the bracket is like an 1/8" or smaller but when you have both sides on its a 1/4"or less but enough that the threaded(narrower)part of the axle rests on the fat washer with the notch.........kinda hard to xplain.............

Yeah maybe it has some thing to do with the wide tire. I have a 2nd set waiting to put on my pops 07 fatboy. I'll see if I run into problems on his or not. Might not get to it till next week. But I bought both sets of the 07 triangle ones for my 150 tire, and his 200. Mine went on like butter :-) His might not?
