Was out riding yesterday & 20 minutes into the ride oil light came on at idle but goes out when motoring along... Just replaced the ignition switch could that have anything to do with it?? Any thoughts?? Over all bike was running great!

 

It would't seam the switch would make the light come on. Have you checked the wiring to the oil sending switch? Might be a good idea to check the oil pressure. Oil pressure gages are cheap. Atleast cheaper than bearings.

 

Yeah I need to get a gauge..... If i install a gauge does it replace the oil sender?? Checked the wiring it looks fine....still waiting on me shop manual

 

You'd have to install a Tee to run both. Check the oil make sure it didn't get thinned down from any gas.

 

Problem solved.... installed an oil pressure gauge and as I was doing it took out the screen & it was loaded with crap....blew it out & so far soooo good!!!
