Default Braided stainless fuel crossover line

quick question. i am installing a stainless braided tank crossover line. i got the one from the HD dealer.

when i snug down the furrell according to the directions, the hose does not get tight. it will still rotate a bit. is this normal? i don't want to over tighten it and break it, but i want to make sure it doesn't leak!

thanks

Mine did not have instructions?? I tightened it pretty good, hose does not spin. Nothing broke and no leaks. It is pretty heavy duty hardware - seems like it would be difficult to brake...

I too put on the HD braided cross over line( mine did not have any instructions either??). I did the same as Kuma and just tightened the heck out of it. No leaks and looks great, if you crawl under the bike and look up there...lol

Bought mine from a guy here for $15 shipped. I think they are like $35-$40. Worth it if you take your tank off to do stuff. Removed my tank 3 times in 6 months for 3 different reasons. Will be off again some day when I go BB and milled heads! lol

$30, i got the one for the touring models. the rocker and deuce use a 7" line, which Harley doesn't offer. The one for the standard softails is 6", too short. My bike has a 2" tank lift on it. The one I got is 9" so it should be perfect. tank is still off the bike, when it is all done. i will post results.

thanks for the info on tightening it. i guess i will tighten it a little more

Dennis Kirk has a 7" line for $42.99, part number 18-2997 or you can check out Magnum Sterling Chromite II for all Rocker cables or lines.
