Hey Big Smooth do you have a pic of your wheels from the front. I just wanted to see how much difference there was between a 3" to a 3.5" fender fill. And also a Metzler compared to a Avon...maybe a pic like this...

I don't mean to sound like I'm coming down on you guys but you should never put a 90 mm tire on a 3 in. let alone a 3.5 in. rim. If you don't believe me call the tire mfg. Just cuz a shop will put it on doesn't mean it's right. If it's just for show bike purposes then fock it. Hey, I love the WW and also wish they made them in a 120 mm 21 inch but that link someone posted on the first page is one of the cheesiest web pages I've seen (scam). As soon as I can afford it I'll be upgrading my 2.15 in. front rim on both my bikes to 3.5 and run a 120 mm. Going to a wider rim/tire in the front will enhance the handling of the bike.
Note, the pics of dulexes and heritages up above look nice, real nice. Those spoke rims from Ride Wright are sick. Fat spoke radials are by far the nicest looking rims I've ever seen. They're also probably the worst design for a rim; radial aspect working against each other.
All I can say is do your research before you spend a grip of money.

Cionsidering we're only talking a 1/2 an inch, you might not really notice a difference. I can say that I haven't seen much if any difference in handling during my normal riding since the change. I took three pics. Straight on, above and one with the stock front tire for comparison. Hope this helps.

Where I live, everybody runs 21x3 and wider with the 90www, they just stretch it to fit. Everybody knows that it doesn't jive with the manufactures specs (Avon or Metzeler)...but we take the chance because it looks bad a$$.
Remember, that tire, MH90/21 is designed to run on a skinner wheel, and a lighter bike, than Deluxes and Heritages, let alone a touring bike (lord knows I've seen plenty of stretched 90's on RK's). I know this because Avon almost didn't warranty my tire because Avon initially thought my Heritage may have exceeded their recommend load/weight of the 90/21www, especially with any two up riding. After they did a check, it turns out my bike is just under the maximum weight...they also asked what size wheel I was running. I have a standard 21x2.15 so that wasn't an issue either...but the reason they asked was obvious, if it had been a 3 or wider...I would have been SOL.
Also, a lot of wheel shops in my area aren't real happy stretching 90www's on 21x3's and above. They'll do it, but they usually give you a little sermon on why it's not a good idea.
Just some food for thought...

Baggerz.... a question if I may.
On that Vee Rubber white wall. Did you have to replace the back tire also with a Vee Rubber so the white wall matched? Some have said that the Vee Rubber WW is a different color than normal. Maybe more of a cream instead of a white. Is this true?
