Default 2001 heritage wont start...key light flashing

bought a 01 heritage the other day, took it for a ride last night, put the tender on the battery, when i tried to start it....nothing.....the key light is flashing, i tried running through the sequence for the security system, i even unplugged the battery and started from scratch.....any ideas?

yes it has an alarm, i bought it used from a dealer

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there's a small battery in the FOB that could get weak over time. You may have to get a new one.

Did you try turning the alarm on and off?

the battery is good in the fob cant figure out how to re set the security
