Changing out the drag bars that were on my fatboy when I bought it. Just curious if anyone is running wide glide bars on their fatty and if they like it. Any pics?

 

Sorry.. not a fatboy... but the first thing I did after getting my
NT was to put the '03 Wide Glide bars on it and love them. Very comfortable on long rides and you can move them forward/back to get the right fit.

 

I bought used 1 1/4" Wide Glide mini apes that came on the later model wide glides. Had a lot of pull back, felt terrible. And they did not look right, too narrow to line up with the Fatboy forks. The 1" older WG bars would probably look and feel better. I ended up putting Heritage Bars on. Less pull back than WG's and taller than FB bars. I am 6'1" and they feel much better and are cheap to try. Would hate to spend $$$$ on bars, cables, brake line... and not like them.

 

When I was looking at bars a guy sent me pics of his FB with the WG 1" bars. imo - look better than the Heritage bars, but have more pull back.

 

I had Wide Glide handlebars on my last bike. I liked them a lot. I'm 6'3" and I thought they were a good fit for my height. Sorry, can't remember what year the bars were.
