I seem to recall that someone who swapped out the stock fender for the Fatboy version had to do some minor wiring extensions. Other than that and matching paint, it sounded like a pretty easy deal. I just got a fender from Ebay, so I will be doing this myself pretty soon.

Default Fatboy fender on Cross Bones

This pictures was published in a dutch mag called Bigtwin.
They say nothing about more or minor mods for the fender.
Bit maybe it gives a better look of the fender on the bones.
I hope this is helpfull to you
So its not my bike. I still waiting for it, about 2 weeks to go for my bones.
I came over from 1130cc.com. Had a night rod special for 2 years but missed the old sound. Before the rod a had a FLST 86 for 20 years.
That's it for now. Like the forum and hope to see you all again after the first mods on my bones.
I hope the attachements works.

I was thinking of doing this as well. It may be in another thread but maybe you guys can help....If I decide to get a bolt on fender from a fatboy, is all I need fender wise is a fender from a new fatboy? Not sure what models would fit and thought maybe somebody could help. Thanks!

eablum,

You just need a fender from a late model ('07-'09) Fatboy. The earlier fenders are too narrow for the 200 tire.

Default fenders

I'm in the process of doing this also. Though I will be adding a bobbed FL style up front fender also. As long as a few other mods too. Based loosely on the bobbers put together by the HD dealer in London. I contacted them about one of their exhaust systems and was quoted a price which was equal to $1800.00+. For a black 2/1 which I can duplicate for under $300.00! Paughco header: $200.00, O2 bungs: $25.00, Leftover fishtail from another build years ago: $0.00. Misc. clamps, welding (for bungs): $50.00 at the most. If I had to buy the muffler.....$100.00 at the most.
