Default Your thoughts on this helmet

What do you think about this helmet?

I know this helmet looks different, actually it kinda takes me as a hybrid between a full faced and ¾… don’t like full face cause I like the wind in my face and think the half helmets just don’t offer enough protection.

Just wanted to know what others thought of this style… like the flat black finish.

Pic is attached…

http://www.hjchelmets.com the model is IS-33

I looked at a lot of helmets recently, looking for an open face. Did not come across the one you posted, but some that were similar. The problem for me was the overall size. They were all pretty big overall. Found that to be a problem across the board -- even a lot of the half-helmets.

I'd get one of these if I were rich: http://www.glorysales.com/helmets-ru...-35_38_43.html

But since I'm not, I settled on one of these, silver: http://www.fulmerhelmets.com/Product/afv2.html

i'm not a big fan of that style of helmet but if you want protection with the feel of the wind on your face then that one looks like a pretty good choice.

I like it and if I was in the market for a 3/4 it would certainly be on my short list.

+1 on if you are in the market for a 3/4, looks nice, I don't use a helmet too often. I do have a full face I use when going long distance on the interstate, those rocks really hurt at 70

That type of helmet is quite popular here in the UK with our strict helmet laws. You tend to see alot of scooter riders and older born again bikers in them. I picked up a Harley helmet on my last visit to the states...totaly illegal in the UK but I take my chance. Ive got a feeling Harley do a very similar helmet to that picture

+2 on the 3/4. I was freezing my ears off and decided I needed a winter helmet. I got the Fulmer for $79 from a indi. I had a fulmer back in 1980 and it saved my head in 2 motorcycle/car accidents. I was surprised that they were so lite. I still have the Author fulmer from the accident but don't wear it for obvious reasons

Nice. I use a Scorpion EXO-200, but that HJC has a built-in sunshade. I think that may be my next one.

Looks good to me. I like HJC products. Great value that won't break the bank
