Default Cross Bones Seat question

I am on the verge of buying my first Harley!! and I "love" the Cross Bones but only "like" the seat. I am 6'2 but my legs and arms are long! I am wondering if going with a Brawler seat would give me any more length?

And if anyone has suggestions of other seats that would be great!

thanks

Getting a lower seat will only shorten your leg room.

It looks like a brawler seat sits further back, plus I am a little more concerned with my arms length. I want to sit more stretched out.

In my opinion, the H-D standard solo seat (52004-25) with the seat pivot bracket and spring support bracket in the full rearward position and stock 3" springs will provide the most leg room. Have the dealer move the stock seat full back to try it out. The std solo seat will give you about another inch rearward and down. -JT

jt3333,
How does the standard solo seat (52004-25) compare to the stock cross bones seat for long distance rides?

Does the original seat have any wiggle room?

Also

with the H-D standard solo seat (52004-25) do i need to buy a new pivot bracket?

Still not sure I like the old school seat look

I think its a little better, but everyone seems to have there own opinion when it comes to seats. Maybe some others with the seat will provide there opinions too.

The stock seat can be moved fore to aft the same as the std solo and uses the same pivot bracket. The std solo just has about a inch less foam on it, which lets you slide back an extra inch. The steel seat pan is the same for both seats. My seat in the picture is in the most rearward position with the pivot bracket in the front of the slot. In the rear slot on the seat it would move rearward another 1-1.5 inches. There is about 2 inches of adjustment.
