Default Chopped rear for 08 Fatboy

Has anyone chopped the rear fender on a late model Fatboy? I'm interested in whether you actually chopped the original fender or bought a new kit.

I reckon it must be possible to use the original tins but would really appreciate any photos of a successful conversion, and a what bits you needed to buy (e.g. license plate mounts, tail lights etc)

Thanks

I think you can get one from Heartland USA. That said you should be able to chop the stocker. I hope some one will post a pic also.

Perfect this is exactly what I was looking for, even though it does mean new tins

this is the sort of end result I'm after, but without the $2,000+ price tag

That bike is shown lowered as well, keep that in the budget, i think it would look a lil off with out it lowered, gets exspensive to lower with a decent ride and not just the lowering boltts.

But a fatty would look sweet with that kit
