Default Carlini 7" or 9" on Fatboy

I've read lots of threads about bars in general. Everyone seems to agree that Carlini makes a killer set of bars. I ordered a set of 9" original t's but now that I have them mounted they look huge. I'm 6-4 so reach isn't a problem, they feel good, just not convinced on the look. Anyone have any thoughts or problems with clearance on the 7". The stock bars hit my legs when turning sharply.

Can post a picture with the bars mounted? I had very wide beach bars on my 03 FB in the past and I really miss them. I never could tell about the look but I liked the position they put me in. I'd not be able to split lanes in California but it was nice ending a ride with out the space between my shoulders killing me.

Looks grow on you. Sometimes ugly is beautiful!

I like the look of drag bars but not a fan of the rise that a 7" or 9" offers. I would like to see a Carlini Drag bar with a 5" rise on a FatBoy

When it comes to drags, the shorter the better, although I have never ridden with any drag bars. Chop a couple of inches off of the ones you have if you want them lower.

I ordered Carlini drags with a 5" rise and they hit the tank. Sold them on ebay.

crap! not what I wanted to hear. IMO, the lower the drag bar the better they look. The Carlini website shows the 5" rise Drag Bars on a FatBoy, but i guess that doesn't mean they will not hit the tank. crap!
