Novello Handlebar Wire Harness Extension Kits

I was able to do mine my only sliding the tank back.
1. Remove seat.
2. Unhook fuel line from petcock (it prevents you from sliding the tank back far enough)
3. Slide tank back
The tank slides far enough back to allow you to get the the plugs. You just unplug the two ends, then remove the wires from the plug housing with a small pick, plug the exentions in, heatshrink the extensions in, solder if you are **** (guilty here), put the plug back together, then plug it all back in.

Get the manual or follow an online post with pictures to get a complete understanding of Molex or Delphi connectors pin/socket removal technique. You've got to release the secondary lock first & they can be a little stubborn. Novello sent a paper clip (.030") w/ my kit to release the terminals. I didn't solder my extensions even though they felt a little loose. The heat shrink has held so far. Also, the large heat shrink was a little tight for the bundle if memory serves.
