I`m closed to trade my `07 Sportster 1200C for a `02 Deuce with 5600 miles on it and for the price of $11900, the bike is in mint condtion, is this a good price for the bike?
Yes, that the price before the trade in is $11900,,,they take mine for $7400.. the Deuce only have a few mods, like V&H longshot pipes, front signal are on the forks legs, is a carb model, thay said it can be switch to EFI for $600, but I wont change it anyway..there is a pic of the bike
I'm wondering the same thing. I've been looking around for a new bike for some time. I've located a 2002 Softail Deuce, and the dealer is asking 11900 for it. It's got 7200 miles, V+H pipes, pegs+grips and a passanger backrest. I'm thinking of offering 11,000 for it, but don't know,if the dealer will go for that. I don't think I want to pay more right now, the way things are today, I have a feeling a lot of bikes are going to be on sale cheap soon.
Did you make the offer today? How did they take it? After talking with several friends, and reading the comments in this forum, I've decided that I'm going to offer the stealers 9,800. I'll get laughed out of the showroom, I have no doubt, but I think a lot of prices are about to come down over the next year. No reason to rush into things and get stuck with a bike you paid to much for.
I bought a 2005 Deuce last fall that had 2200 miles on it for $12,500. There were several others at that time to choose from in that same age and price range. It still has under 3000 miles on it because of the weather but so far - GREAT BIKE!
