I put the bars on today and rode about 75 miles. Also installed, Arlen Ness polyurethane riser bushings, part# 08-005. I used the stock 02 FatBoy handlebar clamp. I've ridden the last 17K miles with chubby drag bars, 8" rise. Well at first, they felt awkward. Then I settled into them. I also have a FatBoy Sundowner seat. So, after about a 30 mile ride down the interstate and then about another 45 on the back roads, I decided that they felt good. They did spread my arms out a little and the angle on my wrists is comfortable enough. Of course, Ill be riding some more tomorrow and I'll be back after the weekend to give you my final thoughts. I'll respond to Private messages. alwatts

beach bars and 504's look great, i cant decide between one and the other...how hard is it to change the bars on my own? new to bikes, have the tools and all and have been tinkering around with my fatboy, simple stuff, mirrors, license plate, quick detach mounting hardware for sissybar/rack , slip ons etc., not afraid to work on things and i do have the service manual enroute. I am 5'8' and my arm length is a bit on the shorter side, 32 inch on shirts, i like the extended arm kind of reach on the bike, thats what i have on my sporty, would like something similar on the fatboy, any advice is appreciated. thanks

Pics of WildOne 504's on 02 FatBoy. Rode today and I like them. Also came across a great deal (really great) on the pipes the other day and took them out for a ride today with the handlebars. Now I know why they call them THUNDERHEADERS!!!!! Two great additions to the bike and I also added a Golan fuel valve 76-312F (brass) and I picked up great used stock black dash from a Nighttain. Engine is a stock TC88B (carb).

Update on 504 bars: Rode about 300 miles over the weekend. I don't have one complaint about the bars. It already seems like they've been on for a long time. They fit me well. I'm 5'10 @170, med-large jacket. Recommended!!!!! alwatts

Ok... So here's my question. I swapped out the oem Heritage bars for oem Fatboy bars a couple years ago, but @ 6'2"+ my bars and knees interfere with each other on tight ,slow moving turns. Does the shape/curves of the 504's work out to be a better match for a taller, long leg'd, person?

looks good... I like what you've done to it. you've obviously taken really
good care of it too because it doesn't look like an 02 (looks much newer.)

I'm back with the 1500 mile final writeup. They are very comfortable all the way around. I'm 5'10" and I do find myself leaning a little forward and occasionally I have to remind myself to straighten up a little. I like the bars. If anyone is in the Atlanta,Ga area, you're welcome to come by and check them out. You can ride my bike and I'll ride yours. If you need help putting them on, let me know. Good Luck!!!!! alwatts
