My dealer had a 2006 Softail Deluxe come in with nonprofile wheels....I had asked for profile wheels and he then changed the rims and put on profile rims.....I noticed that the whitewalls have an indentation at the point where the rim meets the tire (in other words, the whitewall is smooth and then turns inward (90 degrees) toward the rim)...
...My question is...is this due to the fact that the bike came in with nonprofile rims or are all whitewall tires on the Deluxe like this (have an indentation)? If the bike had come in with profile rims from the factory, would it still have this indentation in the whitewall?
Okay, thanks a lot for the info....I thought maybe it just looked that way because it had come from the factory with the other nonprofile rims on it....nice bike!! I am picking up mine next week....
I lucked out, and my Springer happen to have Profile wheels when I picked it up, no extra charge. They are sweet rims, ive gotten several "those look bad ***" comments on them.
