Wait, was this at the harley service shop or joe six pack shop? either way let em know, im sure the service writers will tell that knuckle head mechanic something bout that and if it is a harley dealer they will give you a new one. My oil tank cracked all the way through but did not leak. I was riding and heard a loud snapping noise, did not know what it was, when i was cleaning my bike i noticed it and drove it straight to the dealer and showed them, the rookie tech said it was a scratch(he was a little ahole), after talking to the service writers i convinced them it was a crack because it went all around to the inside, also if it wasnt obvious enough, the crack was even inside the grooves that the tank has, this was about 2 months ago, they still havent got my tank in, just checked last week...

Mike the bars are looking awesome! Thanks for making looking like I got the kiddie set on mine....lol j/k! I was not fortunate enough to keep the ropes to fish the wires through since I modded my bars but I managed to use some fishing line and a sinker to get the job done. Are you putting the stock controls back on or did you upgrade? Post some more pics along the way...

yours were the ones that got me liking the z-bars so definately not kiddie ones

ok a little further im getting,this will be the longest
handlebar change to date,exhaust off,old rocker risers off(chromey's)(FOR $ale),
2 piece handlebars? yeah thats what i said, those are off,drained front m/cylinder
took front brake line off hec i hope i remember where all this goes!!!!i think thats it
fo now,enjoy some more pics,waiting on draining the tank,after that i suppose the
wiring will be easy to see.

it's kind of intimidating to do when you look at your ride in pieces...but as you said just remember where everything goes...lol...waiting to see finished product
