Default Electrical Issue

i put a luggage rack on my bike today and when i got done i ran it a while and checked it all over and i realized i have no horn, turnsignals, or brake light. so i did some troubleshooting and i found two wires in the taillight that were rubbed bare. so i fixed those and went on to find the accessory fuse was blown. so i put a new fuse in it, turned the switch on, and it popped it again. i cannot find anyother bare wires as of now, nor can i isolate where its shorting at. can anyone help me think of places to look before i start chasing wires every which way. everything worked when i parked it for the winter!

-thanks

Since electrical issues can be a real pain in the azz and your bike is an 08, take it to the dealer and let them fix it under warranty. Its winter time so your down time should really be minimal. Its better than pulling your hair out.

I am thinking you may have the wires under the fender pinched. I know when you put new hardware on the fender bracket it has a larger round piece that goes under the fender. Other than that I can't imagine why an 08 would have wires that are "rubbed bare".
