Question for anyone that's using this fairing--will I be able to switch back and forth between the batwing and my stock windshield, or will this require switching out the mounting studs? ('07 Heritage)
Thanks!

just bought a memphis shades batwing from bikerhaven.net...delivered cost was $339. put it on a black 09 RK. the paint and fairing are both nice looking. order the 12" windshield for maximum wind protection. i am 5'11" and still look over the tall windshield. got the solar tint-goes well with black bike.

you will not be able to just swap them out with the quick release. you will need to change the mounting studs according to what shield you are using.

here's a pic of of the way the batwing mounting bracket snaps into the mounting studs. hope this helps

They use different studs into the forks. I think the MS mounts are better looking and will last longer than the HD mounts anyway since they are aluminum not rubber. What I did was sell my HD windshield on E Bay and buy a MS Memphis Fats Windshield and a Sport Shield withthe money, the MS Windshields with hardware are much less $ than the HD shields.

Now I can change from Fairing to full size or sport windshield in a minute with no tools.

Love my M Shades Batwing. Light weight, simple and effective. Easy on, easy off. Great for cool weather and the windy Nebraska weather.

Hi,
Has anyone tried the Klokwerks Flare sheild for the memphis shades fairing ??
They started doing it about 6 months ago.
I was going to get one for mine as I cannot find the right height (tried 'em all) but heard that for $169 there are not great....

Thanks all.
Rowle - UK.

Very cool ride! I wish I had a garage like yours as well. I'm jealous.
