hogdiver96, you still need running lights (ie a rear light in red for use when you switch your lights on).

You must have the following lights:
Rear Red facing lights
Rear amber facing indicator light
Rear Red brake light.

As far as I know in the UK it is condoned to combine all of those in one light (that is to say, I have seen red indicator lights combined with running lights), but I don't think it is actually Legal.

here in the us the stock rocker only has blinkers that run as run/brake/and blinker functions...........like a car.............you hit the brake and the blinkers get brighter same with the turn signal on

I just did this today.
Using Heartland’s bullet LEDS they are three wires. Black is ground. Red and Orange are spliced together and plugged into the run/brake wire in the harness. If you check my thread
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...to-finish.html
you can see the end result. I have the cat's eye on my plate wired in also so that the corners blink left or right along with the bullet lights. What you see in pics is just the RUN portion. They all get brighter with the brakes on.

Yeah i do have rear running light but mine is on the sidemout plate we CANNOT use turn signals as running lights here.
All my wires were run back to the block under seat rhs off frame apart from the black wires that i earthed on frame (but you can twist em all together and shove them in one pin hole in block)
It is dark when i get home from work but if this is not sorted out by weekend i will take piccys , drawings if you require KYLANT
