Question Changing out tank/finders

A friend ordered new tank and both fenders for an 08 Crossbones, we were wondering if its a challenge to change out the tanks or not? Just trying to find out if its worth it or not to just pay Harley to do it or put in the work ourselves.

Thanks for the help!!! ---

The fule pump is the only part that takes some paying attention. The rest is easy as pie. Pay attention to what came from where and take your time and you'll be fine...

Get a service manual and follow the directions specifically on removing the tank or you could hose your fuel injection system.

Yup, it's a piece of cake if you have a service manual. I have a short video on how to remove the fuel pump if you need it.

I could have really used that about a month ago. I had to replace the fuel line going from the fuel filter to the quick disconnect. It had rubbed the inside of my tank and caused a pin hole. It took me about 2 hrs to get everything apart and the fuel pump out. This video would have helped me out a lot!
