All the 2009 models have been discounted $1,000 off MRSP, for months, at my local dealership in Port Charlotte,FL.

I would just play a bit hard to get with them. With it being a bad time for the economy, and the fact that is is January, I'm sure you can get a deal. How many dealers do you have near you? Go see what kind of deals they all have. Who ever needs the sell the worst will give you the best deal.

Yea, I agree. Bargain hard, stay firm & watch your backside with all the add on's.
Also throw anything you've got at 'em on trade. My pal traded his SG & two trucks in on his new FXSTSEE.

Keep us posted.

Did this on the wife's 08. It was too easy and probably could've worked a better deal but it seemed fair and the wife assured me no other dealer in the whole world had a black and white Deluxe

Dealer in South Jersey was just offering the same deal on all his 09 bikes.

and any price they give you make sure that you have it in writing cause they will get you with all their little print numbers

biggest crap the dealers do is adding 1k for prepping the bike...there is nothing in that prep that cost enough to add together into 1k

I think 1k under msrp sounds good...and then just make sure that everything else is kept to a min

It's a buyers market now my friend. You drive the deal and with a little bit of research and a good poker face... you call the shots. Remember, he needs to move this bike off the floor and you might want to remind him that with the economy the way it is not too many folks will be bidding on this bike.
I purchased my 07 at the dealership this past summer. It only had 740 kilometers on it and was complete with windshield, backrest, engine guards and Deluxe bags. Price: $17,400. CDN.
