My wife of 31 years has always been "Babe", but the Bones is Baby. Cuz when they rolled it out of the back of the Stealership (fresh out of the crate) and the first time I saw it, I said "That Baby's mine". Good thing Babe's willing to share, but thats why we've been together this long. (As long as I don't get to stupid about it!)

Never a formal name, but I've always referred to my bike(s) as Baby...

On a similar note, I've always referred to whatever woman I'm seeing as Honey...avoids complications...

My Deluxe developed a mysterious rattle at certain rpm's...but, only in 4th and 5th gears. I went thru the thing up 'n down, front 'n back...no luck. The shop went thru it a couple times...nuttin. The missus 'n I finally just got used to it, and named her Rattler. Then one day, one of my buds reached down and thumped the chrome lower belt guard I had installed a while back, and it let out a familiar rattle. I put the stock guard back on, and no more rattle...but, seein as we had been callin her that for a couple years, the name stuck.
