Default Auxiliary lights

I'm thinking of adding some auxiliary lights on my Fat Boy so I called the local dealer to see what they suggest. The parts person said I have two options to choose from, the standard ones which run for $230 or the Deluxe ones which $400. When I told him I wanted to use my turn signals I have on right now he said I needed to go with the Deluxe style. Is this true or the guy is just trying to make a buck? Is there a relocating kit I could buy instead? Does anyone have any pics. Thanks

Don't know the answer to your question....
Looking at the website the only difference i see is one is Billet like and the other not...

I do know that most dealers don't know their A** from a hole in the ground

I just purchased the Deluxe Lighting Kit (P/N 68669-05) for my 08 FB and it comes with the turn signal relocation kit. You don't re-use the stock turn signals; new bullet style signals are part of the kit. By the way, check out Surdyke.com for the kit; I got mine for $327 + shipping and it took about a week or so to get it.

Thanks for the info Barney Rubble. How about if I were to use my stock turn signals on the Standard kit with a relocating kit, will that work?
If not, I may go with the Deluxe kit from surdyke.

Default Deluxe kit

I have a 08 Fatboy and just bought the Deluxe kit. It looks way way better than the standard kit.
In this case you get what you pay for.

Now I just have to figure out how to install it. Anyone have any tips?

As far as I know, the difference between the 2 kits is that the deluxe has the bullet style signal lights and a more streamlined bar.

Deluxe Aux. Kit here....love it. Beefs up the front end and I really like the bullet turn signals compared to the those mini pancake style lenses.

I don't think your stock signals will work with the relocating kits that are available for the Standard kit. You can get bullet-style signals (kit 69079-04) but IMO I don't think they have the clean lines that the Deluxe kit has.

I haven't tackled the installation yet; I'll probably do it over the holidays. But it doesn't look too difficult; the hardest part looks like partially removing the gas tank. It definitely helps to have a shop manual, though.
