The whole idea of "denim" paint is that it wears, kinda like levi's 501's. Just wipe it with a wet rag if you want it spotless. A lot easier to keep looking perfect than vivid black. Trust me on this one....
I bought my standard with the vivid black, I have painted the tank and fenders every year that ive had the bike due to rock ships and scratches. This winter im pullin the tank, oil bag, and fenders and sprayn them flat black straight out of the can. Its cheaper and easier th maintain, plus I wont have to wax it.
Its easier to clean and the bit about rain drops being hard to clean is BS. I use a spray mist detailer and wipe down the whole bike before every ride. Takes about 1 minute and everything looks like new.
Denim Black is much easier to keep! Wet rag and its clean. Its cool and has a rough look about it. I will paint my Heritage flat black when it is time. I want to see someone add to the denim black, maybe some ghosting in the same flat texture, that would look cool!
