If you have the original SE 'double barrel' pipes that were made by V&H for harley (in other words, not the slip ons) they are still the ones that I prefer in order to remain legal in most places and I think they look the best. Supposedly the V&H straight shots that look the same have more horsepower, but I don't know. When mine get to looking too ratty, I'm going to have them poweder coated except for the tips just like the new blacked out ones (that have 02 sensor bungs in them). I intend to get a set of the V&H black ones with the chrome tips when I convert my bike from a PCIII to a T-Max with wide band o2 sensors, but in this economy it will be a while before I do that.

I like my Sweepers, but...I had to do some grinding to fit the lower turnout on the pipe and was not happy with that...the pipes sound ok..I also ordered the torque rings and that makes a huge difference in sound and power...normally I would have sent them back but I was pumped to lose the stock pipes! just before winter I was out for a ride and lost the turn out while doing some "sprited" riding when I found it...it was pretty torn up...went to the samson web site to try and order another...but they dont sell them seperatly...so to the powder coater they will go when funds allow..I learned a valuable lesson...if it's not right..send it back!
