Softail girl... I don't know if I should tell you this or not... but I got my chrome front end package about 10 minutes ago. That was fast delivery. I am impressed.

I opened it up and it's all harley parts brand new in the box. Complete kit. Everything you need. Really a good deal it appears though.

I think this dealer must be trying to stimulate the economy.

Great stuff! I live in Canada so I know it will take more time for me to receive it. That's ok. Now that I know it's all brand new I just can't wait!

P.S. I should call the dealer and ask for a discount of any future purchases... this thread brought him a few sales!

Got a set on order for my 08 Heritage. Hope all goes well and it's as stated. I checked the part numbers with those in the catalog and it seems legit.

I was quite happy with my stock forks UNTIL softail girl reminded me just how ugly they were. Thanks alot

Hope they're not too difficult to put on. I glanced at the manual and it looks to be w/i my skill level. Good winter project.

Jimmers1817, I think we have something in common (besides great taste in Harleys!). My brother pointed out a new chrome fender skirt on his bike this summer and I took a good look at mine. Big mistake. After a week, that's all I could think about: mine was an ugly aluminum tin can. The chrome skirt was my next purchase .

Two weeks ago when I put my bike away at a friend's house, his StreetGlide had a beautiful chrome fork... and I went downhill again: I just couldn't sleep thinking about that nice chrome.

Addicted? Me? No way. When I bought my bike last May, I swore I would never be like THAT. I honestly don't know what happened.

Let me know how the install goes. I would like to do it myself but I think it's a little over my head.

I ride more than I shine. I usually shine after a long ride or when the temperatures are bad.

But thanks for the compliment. I love my bike. I can't wait for Bike week in March!

Yes, there really isn't any limit to the amount of chrome (and $) you can dump into these bikes. I resist the urge as much as I can but the price on the forks was just too good to pass up. Sure wish I could find a comparable deal on chrome hand controls.

I will indeed let you know how the install goes. Looks like it just involves following the book and turning a wrench but probably an all day job for a backyard mechanic like me. Someone posted that they had an install price of about $200 which seems reasonable but I still enjoy doing my own work.

Thanks again for the heads up.
