Heated Grips

Well for that kind of money, I would say that a Gerbing's heated G3 glove with a controller will keep your hands much more comfortable than heated grips as they will cost about the same (not counting install). I have heard the heated grips have had a lot of problems with failure and don't last too long. They will also only heat the palm of your hand, a heated glove (plug in not battery) will heat both sides of your hand. Just some food for thought.
Edit: http://heatedclothingoutlet.com/index.shtml also sells Gerbing's heated clothing at discounted prices, so you could end up with a jacket liner too for the same price as the grips.

+1 for SonarChris. I have the Gerbing Gaunlet heated glove. Purchased from Gerbing website. I also have heated grips only because I replaced my bars, so I used the Kuryakyn heated elements that go inside the handlebar ($100), with 4 zone control.
So I got the bestr of both worlds, heated grips for palms, and gloves for backside..
If you go with Gerbing, they are lifetime warranty. Don;t buy from local HD. Warranty is only for 1 year!!
