Agreed. The thing is, not everyone has a bike jack, the proper tools, or a place to do the work.

I still take the position that a basic socket set, a $20 car jack, some blocks of wood, and a $60 manual will get the bike apart. Throw in a $80 torque wrench if you can't bum one for reassembly.
I dig my local dealer but I have found that no one is as **** as I am about torque specs, and general fit and finish of parts. If I am going to be riding this thing at speeds that can kill, I want my hands to be the ones on the fasteners.
