Rides are becoming shocking

Well as a member from the medical community, you might have a central nervous problem or a degenerating disc. It might feel light a slight shock, tingling or feels like "lightning" that surges through your arms. That high up it would be in your neck. If it the case your problem might be generated between C2 and C7, a pinched spinal cord or bulging disc. Talk to your doctor and maybe refer to a neurologist for an MRI and/or nerve conduction studies.

Geez, are you feeling better now? I can see it, a series of diagnostic studies, speculation to the source, more tests. The Dr. sits you down and looks you staight in the eye and asks: " Are you wearing silk skivvies by chance?" Then recommends that only your wife go to buy gas for the lawn mower.

I seriously doubt you have a nerve issue. reasons why:
the digital nerves run down the medial and lateral (sides) of the finger, not on the palmar (palm) side or the dorsal (back) side. to get shocking you would have to be compressing the nerves on either side extremely hard when pulling the clutch; are you? not likely.
for it to be a central nervous system issue you would have other symptoms as well. if it was a nerve compression from your spine (bulging/protruding disc) you would have pain, numbness, and "shocking" sensations in other parts of your arm/shoulder.
if you had an ulnar nerve injury, you would have pain, numbness or tingling in your hand, 5th finger, and 4th (ring) finger. you would not just have "shocking" to the 4th finger only. the nerve distribution does not work that way.
i bet you have a short in you wiring to the left side handle bar controls. there is probably a small current traveling through the switch housing into the clutch cable and then to your finger through your wedding ring.
i would look at that housing
good luck

I know I dont have any of the symptoms that you mentioned. I will try and remove my ring and ride again and see what happens. I called the dealer and they said to bring it in and had never heard of this. I will also try using 3 fingers and 1 finger on the clutch and see if the shock moves to a different finger. Its just so odd that it feels exactly like a shock at a very specific point. Not all over my arm or hand. But right near my ring on the middle finger. Thanks all I will let you know what I find. Or what my shrink says. LOL
