Default Heritage American Classic Saddlebags

I am looking at installing a quick detachable system for the FLSTCI saddlebags. I would appreciate any comments from fellow riders, what systems they installed, and the pros and cons. I have looked at Easy Brackets, Ghost brackets, and Bubba's quick release saddlebag system. I would prefer something that looks transparent from the stock configuration, but allows for easy installation and removal.

I want to remove the bags because I have some motel road trips this summer. I plan on removing the tour pack, saddlebags, and windshield, then covering the bike to leave it parked in the motel parking lot for the evening. I don't know if you have checked, but the HAC saddle bags are not a cheap item to replace.

You are right they are not cheep to replace. However, I think you will find that most people will not mess with your bike. If they want them that much they will just take the whole bike.

I agree. I have had no problems with my throw over bags. I leave them on the bike. If you are at a hotel where you only have a main entrance park right next to it. Ask at the front desk they will usually say yes that way there is lots of light and someone around. If you have an entrance to your room from the parking lot just crack the window a little on your room and you will here anything that goes on.

Never had any issues yet on the road however it could happen I guess. Thats what insurence is for.

Well best thing to do is get a room on the ground floor.. Then just park the bike inside your room... We have done that a few times and so far no problem from the motels... better the bike then some dogs in the room...LOL
