Did you change risers? Which ones did you use?

I know a little time has passed since this post but I just hung 508's on my wife's Deluxe. I won't quibble about the pullback being too much for some. The 508's pullback is serious compared to the stocker bars.

My wife has a 5'-7" frame & the Deluxe fits her fine except the stocker bars. She completed a 4500mi TX-Canada-Blue Ridge ride in Sept. & the only thing she complained about was the reach of the OEM bars & a little back ache. Really, not a word about the stock seat, cold, rain, fog or the heat. If I'd had time before her leaving I would have hung 504's but that didn't happen.

So this week I changed out to 508's, low risers, Barnet braided, Goodridge etc. Well, she rode it yesterday & I got a thumbs up. The 508's really don't twist her wrists at all, at least how they are adjusted. Nor do they come close to hitting the gut. I have them slanted to follow the angle of the tank. They may end up a fraction higher. The 508's will set you back into the seat bucket if you have limited reach.

(I gotta speak up for Johnny Vaughn HD BIKEPARTS & NOVELLO Wire Extensions)

Oh yea, the Chrome Chubbys made the OEM stainless bars look like water pipe.

I know these pictures could be better.
Here they show the Chubby 508's I hung on my wife's '08 Deluxe.

Thanks guys, the risers I have are the stock 06 Fatboy risers, I believe they are 1.5". I hope to get a Cubbies blind hardware top clamp this year for Christmas to make it look a little better.

I didn't have to change out any cables, but the stock break line needed some bending to make it work. Shortly there after I got braided cables and they are all stock length. I did have to extend the wiring a little for running them through the bars but that was really no big deal.

Thank you all for your answers. Finally made my decision: 504´s on the Deluxe stock risers, looks great, suits me just fine. Only problem (except costs): Winter in Germany, so I´ll have to wait for the first trip in March or so. She´s gone to her winter sleep at the dealer´s, therefore no pictures yet. But the Chubbys are definitely about the best looking bars on the market.

Unless you are deadset on the diameter of the Chubbys I am thrilled with the White Bros. Bars. Not as radical on the "end bend" toward the tank.

Here are some pics. BIG images if you click on them once the page opens. Just offering another option for those wanting pullback or beachbars.
