I was thinking of doing the se 103 stage II with the V&H competition. I heard the stage II is good for low end power and the exhaust os good for high wnd power. I was just wondering how they work together.

 

I rented a Vrod about a month ago with that exact exhaust on it and was way too loud. It sounded good and looked good, but way too loud for my tastes. The first question I asked the guy before I headed down the road was who would pay for the loud exhaust ticket if I happened to get one. Fortunately, it didn't happen.

 

I have it on my '10 Nightster. Initially I was very happy with this exhaust. Great looks and great sound. Brought my dyno numbers up to 79hp/76ft lbs tq, but you should see the dip at around 2-3k rpm. Pretty terrible due to the wide open exhaust. This 2-1 defiantly does not increase low end tq! Black coating on exhaust also did not break in very well for me. I have exhaust wrap primarily for that reason, to hide it. Exhaust really performs well once you get the RPMs up, but I am disappointed in the low end. I put a quite insert into it to try and boost those numbers, but I haven't had it on the dyno again yet to tell how much it helped.
