Smile My new bike 09 Fatboy

Finally after thinking about 3 months, started thinking heritage, thought I sure like the fatboy, test rode one and thought yep that's it.

Picked up a 09 Fatboy, vivid black, chrome rims and security at a smokin deal. so smokin i can't type it in public in fear it would make some cry.

I've been riding since I was 16, my last bike was a c50. I bought this after really thinking about the HD's for a while. What is came down to was the HD is just a beautiful machine. The looks and engine layout and the sound is what made me spend 2x the money i spent on my last purchase...

I've been crusin and pokin on this site for a few months. Good information here! attitudes (good and bad) and all.. hehe, well that is make makes it enjoyable, were all different.

Great bike I always liked the fatboy. Gonna leave it stock or do you have plans to make it your own?

Please...make me cry.

I'm shopping and looking for market knowledge. Do tell.

And congratulations on a very nice bike! I'm see-sawing between the Fat Boy and the Heritage myself.

Great Fat! Especially the chrome wheels, you may want to get chrome lower sliders, look even better.

I found a couple prices, and finally my local dealer finally came in for me. I went to
them after i shopped around and laid it out and told them I'd love to buy from them
but not for 1,600 more.

shopping i found these prices.
08 Fatboy new 17,000 OTD.
09 17,500 OTD
These were black with security.
I'm calif for 7.25% tax... So the 2008 was 15,800 before tax. odd as the 08's are 1200 more than the 09's. and the 2009 was about 16,300 before the tax.
Chrome wheels came in $500 over above costs.

Starting figures were 09 was 19,600 OTD. so 1600 less.

I'm thinking I don't see many FB's in my area and the ones i do are changes quite a bit, I think I'll lose the reflectors but will leave it basically stock. I do plan on putting some slip-on's asap... maybe rush 1.75's something mellow. Later I want a quick on/off windshield and bags, as I plan to take a few long road trips, but mainly it's commuting 10 miles a day to work and back

thanks!
