Yeah mate really nice bike as it is...................I am going with 16" Apes from Custom Cycle Control..............I believe this set will let me win a few Top Bike trophys that I intend to take my ride to.

I am 5'-11" and will get a custom 2" block to fit under CCC`s 1.5" riser to adjust the height to what I want................

Yeah, I'm OK, thanks for asking. Came home from the hospital Sunday.......had a mild heart attack Tuesday. A couple of catherizations and they installed 4 stents to my plumbing. At 47 I'm pretty young for it, but 30 years of smoking and being overweight did it. My lovely wife has filled the house with low fat, low cholesterol, low sodium goodies, and I haven't smoked in a week now. Docs said I didn't have any permanent damage......my ejection fraction is 60 (normal is 50-70) so just have to recover a few weeks and then live up to the lifestyle change.

Gives me plenty of time to decide on these apes! Think I'll do the Carlini's. I wonder if Hill City carries the Carlini bars? I would love to have them come prewired and get the Barnett cables as a package deal. I don't need the chrome controls, but I think they'll make up a special package.

 

OK, ordered the 1.5" Carlini gangster apes in 18"" rise today. Anybody have any good recommendations on risers? Got to be 1.5" diameter!!!!
Maybe 1.5" tall as well?

 

Sweet ride.........I put 12.5" chubbies on mine......wasn't tall enough.
Added 3.5" chubbie riser...totall 16"..still wish it was a couple more higher and I'm only 5'10".......GO BIG......GO 18"

Guess you already bit the bullit.......good choice.

 

I put 1-1/2 risders with 16" bars. Wish I had done the 18's though. I got stopped yesterday and they measured my bars. The law is supposed to be 14" from seat to apex of the bar. I can't believe they stopped me. must not have had any fresh doughnuts at krispy kreme. The just gave me aa warning, but what a pain in the a$$

Yeah I know.... He also said my pipes were loud. He said he couldn't check them bc he didn't have a sound meter. Bottom line I think he just wanted to hassle a biker.

That bike is going to look great with apes ! If you are still looking for risers Drag specialties has them and that is what I have the 1.5 x 1.5 tall . Good luck with the lifestyle change I hope it all works out for you
