Don't bet on it. Take it from me, after saying "I Do" 34 years ago I relish it that she can't tell an exhaust pipe from an ECM.
I even drive a stick tranny pickup so she won't try to drive it. Big joke when I got my first one was that she did't like the idea of trying to drive a truck with two little brake pedels instead of one big one.

My wife doesn't bother me when it comes to the prices. She knows that I work hard and doesn't hassle me about what I spend my money on. The baffles may get changed out next summer when I do more engine work. I guess I am a lucky guy that she doesn't question chit with the bike, just tries to appreciate it...But she can't

I've had good luck with ebay myself as far as finding affordable parts for my 99 Fatboy. I bought a set of V & H long shots with only 800 miles on them for $150.00, engine crash bar with highway pegs,(like new), for $87.50, a Mustang seat for $130.00, & a new set of Kuryakyn Iso grips for $43.00.

Nice install and great buy on e-bay. The pipes really look good on your bike. I've had V&H 2-2 on my bike for 8 mo. and have really enjoyed them. I've considered installing BCT baffles, but the rumble I get out of my pipes now is plenty for me.
