What if I'm replacing the stock bars with aftermarket drag bars and i want to use the original grips? Do I HAVE to cut off the clutch side grip?

I've been able to twist the left grip off to break the glue. Or as above, stick a coat hanger in there to break it up.

Good thread! I'm having Apes installed here soon and I am thinking I want to go with white grips to match the bike and the seat when I get it done. I'm also thinking about getting my seat rail powder coated white and if I can find them white shifter and brake rubbers too. You learn something new everyday on this site.
