Default Tour-pak on 08 Heritage???

I want to add a tour-pak to a 2008 Heritage ???
Catalog (08 & 09) show the tour-pak for 08 (09 catalog has differently part Number for it)
Tour-pak detachable 2 up rack doesn't include 08??
anybody do this to an 08 ??
what mounting kit would I need ??? (Part Numbers would help a lot)
I would prefer detachable (just for easy cleaning) but doesn't have to be
Thanks for your help
Ken

Try this link. Seems to say it fits yours and mentions the detachable hardware.

Now that I look at it closer....... it is fuzzy about '08 and newer. Hmmm...

My wife had a detachable tour pak installed on her '08 Heritage, when she bought it. I am pretty sure that the dealer thought that there might be an issue with installing the hardware, and I can't remember why. The work was done before delievery, and it has performed great so far.

I appreciate the input, after looking at the 08 catalog several times, I sent an e-mail to Zanotti's never really got an answer they were waiting for Harley to answer & I got an e-mail that the tour-pak for the heritage is being discontinued & they are not sure they can get it,
after seeing what looks to be the same thing in the 09 catalog (same description and leaving out the 08's) with a different part number I called Zanotti they called back & just said it's available & gave prices??
didn't mention the Docking hardware??
it seems to me if I go this route (Removable Rack) I will need to make the sissy bar removable if I want it back on??
I don't want to go down a bad path with this (I just got the wife to go along with this)
I guess I am really looking for some exact answers??
I have seen many places where Zanottis is great with parts (I haven't seen this so far) perhaps I will call the salesman (I bought the bike from Zanottis) they were great there
also any pictures with the hard (Color matched tour-paks)
(Wife thinks that would look better, I don't)
Thanks for any help
& like others have said many times this is a great forum

I did the tour pack on my 08 Heritage. Not only did it work, with quick disconnect crap...but saved the bike when it went over cliff in Tennessee!

HAHA

I will post up numbers for one-up and two up after a bit.

Bought it ALL from HD Dealer.

Yes, you will need the detachable side plates if you plan on using your sissy bar (which I did NOT do.)

53066-00B is the two up mount. I have that in the box in the garage

53559-04A is the one up rack and that's on the bike at the dealer

53931-03 is the docking kit

I have this stuff on an 08 Heritage. The catalog page that shows the racks isn't up to date. You need to look at the page that lists the side plates, etc.

and looks like 53815-00 would be the chrome side plates u would use for sissy bar.

I also have the detachables lock on the one-up...it's a BITCH to unlock once locked down!!!

I do NOT like the look of the bags once the detachables docking kit is in place. bags stick way out. But, it's all a trade off , so I went for it, to get the tour pack.

I went a different route. I put on a luggage rack and bought the Leather Pros tourpak. It's quick detachable and it locks securely. Oh yeah, and it's cheaper than the HD set up. It's a bit smaller than the HD but I can put two half helmets inside plus other junk.
