I just bought a bike. Unfortunatelly the wheels are very rusty. No way to polish them. Even with EagleOne Never-Dull. Therefore I'd like to buy new ones for my FXST2000.

I was thinking about 80 spokes ones? I guess there should not be any riding difference to stock 40 spokes.

I found a place www.kcint.com, which have quite nice deals. 16x3.5 (80 spokes) for $375.

Do you know about other place where to buy cheap new wheels?

EBAY IS ALWAYS A GOOD WAY TO GO. I BOUGHT MY CHROME ONES THERE, PLUS I BET YOU CAN GET A FEW DOLLARS FOR THE RUSTY ONES. SOMEONE IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR OLD ONES TO RE-CHROME. SPOKES LOOK GREAT WHEN THEY ARE CLEAN. THEY CAN HAVE A LITTLE MORE UP KEEP THAN OTHERS. GOOD LUCK.

 

Can't help you on the where , but a suggestion on the spokes . Get rims with polished SS spokes , chrome will peel eventually and SS will always look good as long as you keep them clean . Also look into twisted or pearl spokes , there real sharp looking !
