Yep.. thats way I started it, Not to take credit for the idea because as I stated the baggers have had theirs going for several yrs and I got the idea for this thread from theirs.

At least its good to know that some SOFTAIL owners are enjoying it and participating by posting there information and dyno numbers here...

If I can figure out how to I will post the dnyo sheet, that way it will show if it was a
SAE or STD as some want to know which one was done
also most sheets have all the motor work listed on bottom.

I f...ing lost power and now have brown mufflers as well! See sig for specs.

Stock - 66.27hp & 78.52tq
Stage 1 - 65.63hp & 75.22tq

Opinions on the loss of power? I'm thinking that it's the quiet baffles.

Suggestions on removing the browning?

Might as well put this in Its from my last bike. The work was done at 3.5 k miles and it felt stronger that when brand new...

It has both the base run and after dyno tune

2007 FXSTD with SE 204 Cams- W 4 degree advance
Big Radius Pipes
SE Race Tuner
SE/ k&n filter

Default finally got my print out photod

Here is my sheets with STOCK #'s,---then STAGE 1+ CAMS VS STOCK,----after Andrews 26h cams.
1st thunbnail is copy of base run
2nd thumbnail is after Stage1 and Andrews 26's I drew in red line to compare because they were done at two different dealers and could not get it on one sheet.
3rd Andrews 26h cams installed. 3-18-09.

Follow up::
Decided to go Andrews 26h, & stay with the Rush slip ons, I like the sound. Looked at D&D but have never heard in person, and BSL's, lose a little TQ down low.
200+ miles & I am pleased with the 26's, they produce good #'s for my riding style, 2200-4000 rpm's (90% of the time two up).
Still over 80#'s TQ at 5.2k rpm's, alot better than the 63#'s the stock motor made.
Over 83#'s of TQ from 2200-5000 rpm's.
Increased 15-20 % TQ and HP over stock engine #'s across the board.

The engine runs better and freer now, 6th doesn't feel like its laboring at 60mph and pulls it easy even two up.
Others say the 26's are done between 4- 4.5k rpm's, the (dyno shows its strong 2-5k rpm's)

For Stage1 and Bolt in Cams there just enough for now and I am satisfied with them.

Ride safe...

UPDATE at 2600 miles since 26h's install.
I'am totally pleased with the cams. the power increase across the board is great.

Where I used to ride mostly at 50-55mph in 5th gear because 6th was laboring to much at anything under 65. I can now ride in 6th at 58+mph easy, we ride mostly two up. Plus she now pulls better at 60mph in 6th than she used to at 50mph in 5th for passing.

As a added bonus the mileage used to be best riding at 50-55mph in 5th (41mpg), if I used 6th it would drop below 40mpg.
Now using 6th gear and running 58-70 on the last 10 tanks I have averaged 43+mpg, and thats even riding 50% in town and 50% County and State roads.
Thats at least 2mpg better and a good deal of more power..
