Did not see what tuner your using but changing the closed loop bias tables to something in the 650-700 range could help cool a touch. Also timing tables can affect engine temps. If its a Lambda map you can adjust those for cooler running. Talk to your dyno guy and see what he says....

Well thanks for that run down on my Map. I need to go back to the tuner and see about my MPG. It's not very good. About 35 MPG. Thats ****. I was getting about 39-41 MPG with with a V&H Fuel pack. Thought I would get better MPG with a good Dyno tune and a Power commander.

Holy Crap! This a lot of dyno info! I tried seeing if anyone had one for the 2012 Heritage Softail and gave up looking. Too bad we could not put the stats in some sort of spreadsheet with the configs.

I will post mine when I get home. What I did with my 103 is pretty much straight forward.
Replaced the filter with a K&N
Installed a Power Commander
Took the stock mufflers and sent them to American Customs to remove the cats. I like the look of the stock pipes.
End result after dyno was 76.5 HP and 90 LBS tork.
Performance was so much better than stock.

I will also be putting a post out about the lifter/pushrod/top end noise. It is virtually undetectable now.

AIR COOLED ENGINES SHOULD NOT HAVE CATS!

Mike are the cats in the header pipes or in the slip on mufflers?

Thanks

1992 Heritage STROKED 80"
Thunderheader 2into1
Port and polish stock heads
Flat top S&S pistons
Andrews EV 51 cam
Some other odds and ends...

90hp with 107 lbs of torque

Next upgrade:
K&N Stage 1 Air Breather ------should add 5-7 hp
Crane Hi 4 Adjustable ignition ----- should add 7-11 hp

It's really fun now.....can't wait for the additions!

Here is a Stage 1 on a 2012 Heritage. Just running a generic map on this run. Will visit the Dyno again after auto tuning with the PowerVision.

Oh, and this has True Duals which gives up a bit of power.

Default Head Porting

If you want to really make that motor wake up, do the heads! I'm running a 95" Stg3 on my 2001 FXSTD. 10.5:1 Wiseco, ported & polished heads from Underground Performance in Strathmore, Alberta, Canada, Woods 408 cams, Thunderheader. The bike ran 100hp & 104tq. I still need to open up the carb to give it more air, which would up those numbers significantly. If you want any information about the heads, shoot me a message.

Check my map out.
Ur #'s look right in line with most all the sheets I've seen around here.

Most all 96''ers STG1 Softail dyno sheets I've seen usually get between 81-85 #'s of TQ and 69-72 HP.

So IMO Ur got a pretty good tune.
