Default Tank removal/assembly pros

So I have the tank off preparing to install new WO515 handlebars. Now since I cut the crossover tube, do I just get a length of gas line and two clamps and slap it back together or is there a reason to get a replacement part from Harley?
Thanks,

Fuel line and two clamps is all you need.

Yup...fuel line + clamps....Although, the SS braided fuel line does look nice, and it's the perfect time to upgrade!!

I've always been a "slap it together" kinda guy. Go for it. Just make sure you do a good enough job you don't have to take the tank off again down the road. It is gasoline after all.

Thanks much!
Now I just have to wait till Friday for UPS. Wild1 says I wont have to extend the wires and without the bars being here, it sure looks like it needs it. Oh well..

Why did you cut the crossover tube. I have an 08 Heritage and when I took my tank off I didn't cut anything but the clamp. Reused the hose that was there.

I didnt remove the tank or disconnect crossover, simply removed bolts and unhooked "petcock" and scooted tank back being careful not scratch the rockerbox covers. 07 softail

+1 ....I bought the S.S. crossover line but I needed more than 5.5" (06 Deluxe), so I just bought a hand full of clamps. I used tile snips to tighten the clamp and pull the LEFT SIDE clamp, since there is more room to access it.
