It's the must have Deluxe accessory and the pad is awesome on long trips.

I've been looking for something like these for my deluxe. To expensive for me though.

I'd love to have one too...I bought the Springer seat/rail assembly and ride that saddle all the time... I actually have an extra Springer rail for sale in the classifieds...I have a hard time putting it on eBAY. I'd rather one of my HDF friends that needs or wants one would buy it than gouge someone by running up the price via an auction...I've tried to buy the pads off eBAY but just can't justify $200+ for one...maybe one of these days...

I actually bid up to $150 on the tall pad that is going for $256. With the help of Growlpipe on here, I had been in touch with Art in parts at Steel City HD in PA who thought he was going to be able to get me two tall pads and two double rails, but he was only able to get one, so I let a friend of mine who had started looking first have the set Art found. I think that tall pad must have been the last one in the country as my local parts guy has called seven states and I have even called the dealership in Anchorage, Alaska, but no joy. I have a double rail now, but would dearly love to find a tall back pad.

The low pad auction is in the final 4 hours. It's highest bid is $156.00. Still a fair price for this piece and I prefer the lower pad's looks.

If you can't find a pad high or low, I would definately try to get this one!

I guess that's my biggest question: Does the smaller pad just look good or does it actually give some back support, say when I have my feet up on my hiway pegs?

The tall pad is maybe 2" taller than the low pad. In my humble opinion, I like the looks of the low pad more than the tall.

Perhaps you'll feel a little more with the tall but you will definately feel plenty of support from the low pad.

Yes, I like the looks of the low pad too. Think I'll give it a shot. Hopefully a bidding war won't ensue. I'll wait 'til shortly before it closes to bid. Thanks for the heads up and the link.
