I get 36 city and 40 hwy with summer formula gas and 40 city and 43 hwy with the winter gas. Brands make a differance and be sure to use 93 octane as that makes a big change

HD advertises 54
Too good to be true, if you follow the manual to shift gear, you might get that.
It is a rocker, ride like you stole it and forget about gas mileage.

I get about 37 to 40 on my new Heritage. All I have done is installed V&H Straight Shots. I'm currently at 1,000 miles and it goes for the scheduled maintenance this week.
I've been told the mileage will improve over time, but ..............
My 07 Superglide was getting 46 to 48 from the beginning up until the time I sold it.
The tech at my dealer says he will look into it for me.

I have a 08 rocker c and my gas milage sux too.

Runing V&H Big Radious & Fuel Pack. I am no tree hugger but this didn't bother me untill I went out with my friends and had to fill up more than the 86 883 that was with us.
I am planing to get the bike on a dyno to tune it after the 1000 mi. svc. I will let you know how it goes. If you find the answer first please post. Thanks

HD advertise 34mpg city, 54mpg highway... or at least they did here in Oz when the 07's were released. I've got BR 2-2, SE AC, SERT and had it dynoed, i get 33.79mpg city (average) and up to 45.86mpg highway. I'm curious to see how long bikes will last for persons who haven't had the mix richened up to a decent AFR and have left it in the stock (EPA compliant) settings. All that heat is not healthy.

Default wrong bike for this branch on the forums, but...

...my '08 Ultra got 41.??mph on 2-lane highway trip this weekend and it was two up and it's bone stock.

Oh yeah, that's in 5th gear at 60MPH too.

Default mileage

I have just checked my mileage for the first time after installing a PCIII from Fuel Moto with a pre installed map for my combo. (SE Heavy Breather, 2" Rush slip on's, 93 octane Mobile, 20/50 Mobil V-Twin, Otherwise all stock 96ci fxstb, 4400 miles)
39 mph with mostly 4th gear city and very little hwy. Now keep in mind, 200lb rider w/no windshield (probably would not make a diff at the lower speeds anyway).
I have gotten as much as 50 mpg on the road @ 60-65mph w/shield but it only had the Rush 2" slip on's at the time.
I am interested to see what happens on the road again ( gez I sound like Willie) with shield and the same speeds.
The city driving was with a very light right hand.
I really did not install the extras for more performance, only looks and sound and to run cooler. It does seem to run a little cooler with the extra fuel added by the PCIII and feels like it has more low end grunt. As for performance, I typically don't throttle much to tell if anymore but I am sure there is. I plan on checking it on a dyno soon.
Most who put on the extras and tune are on the throttle more because they like the added performance and noise but find that the MPG is way down. I wonder why. (go figure)

I don't get on the throttle much unless it is passing. I had a dyno tune done and it smooth the response so I don't have to give as much throttle to ride at any speed.
