Wax & glaze
#11
There has been much Hype about different waxes.
If you look at several of the specialised detailing forums there have been many tests comparing all the major brands.
These tests in the main have proved that Joe public could not visually see any noticeable difference when presented with samples side by side, providing the PREPERATION is good.
Whether you choose Zainos, Turtle Wax, Auto Glym, Meguiars, Chemical Guys, Menzerna, DoDo, PoorBoys, Collinite etc, etc, etccccccc, you are unlikely to see any difference in the shine if your prep is right.
You will however see quite a difference in their Durability. But if you are like me, its never on the bike long enough to test that before the next polishing session comes along. You are more likely to see that on your car.
I personally having tried many of those I have mentioned above but use the following:
On the paintwork I use AutoGlym Super Resin Polish (SRP) followed by AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection (EGP) followed by Collinite 915 wax.
The SRP is also a good polish and masker if you are into machine polishing as well.
The SRP followed by EGP is widely acclaimed as a good hand polish and sealant combination in the UK ,followed by the Glaze or wax of your choice.
I occasionally use Meguiars Scratch X if needed on any light marking.
I also like the Meguiars NXT.
Forgot to mention, on all my chrome work I only ever use Chemical Guys Wheel Guard. This product is awesome and and cannot rate it enough, fantastic shine and even more fantastic is its protection qualities.
