Purchasing a cross bones today
Finally found the crossbones that I was looking for (Black Denim) so I put a down payment on it, possible picking it up today, it has a factory installed alarm with no other options, do not know much about the softtails I am a bagger man, So I turn to you guys for info, does anyone have any input on this bike good or bad and is there anything I should watch out for as far as the dealer, anyh input would be great. also any exhaust option would be great I!m thinking of V&H short shots staggered (black) with a fuel pack.

congrades on the new crossbones thats a cool looking bike !!!! as for the exhaust i have the same set up on my fxst o7 ... the short shots with the fuel pak .. i was running the rush slip ons but finally got enough cash together to get a full system and what a difference it made ,the bike runs much better with more power ... its loud when you open it up but i like to hear the exhaust when im going down the road anyway ... ive been riding metric bikes for a long time but my 07 fxst is the best bike ive ever owned the only problem that i have is that i cant keep from putting the miles on her ... i have 20,000 on her and shes still running great !!!!! good luck with your new crossbones your gunna love it !!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the Club!
The only thing that is a little different is that you need to bring it in at 500 miles for your first service because of the springer front end...
I'm running a RSD Tracker Exhaust & Air Cleaner and then went with the Thundermax EFI unit.... I like the look and get a lot of compliments on them...
I don't think you can go wrong....
IMO The XB is such a fine bike that you could put anything on her and she would still look great!

Congrats, they actually want to do the first service at 500 miles to check the springer front end after that every 5000. It's one of the few bikes that I have not been tempted to do a lot of changes. Depending how tall you are you might want to change the 3" seat springs to 2", costs about $20.00 and gets your feet a little wider at stops.

Ok just got back from the dealer, made the deal and pick the bike up tommorrow, wanted to much for the exhaust, fuel pack, and air filter, $1500, service guys told me the bike has to be dyno`ed, thats why its so much, Never had the 07 RKC dyno`ed runs just fine and sounds mean, but to every cinderella story there is a flip side, had to give up my 05 Bigdog, I think I`ll be happier with the harley!

Yep! don't know what I was thinking... I had my first done @300 miles I have heard that they ship them from the factory without any Head Grease!
