Did any of you Deuce riders get the new parts cataloge and notice that the Deuce was absent except for one photo in the paint section? What's up with that? I didn't notice one part in the Softail section for the FXSTD!

HEY, HARLEY-DAVIDSON...ARE YOU LISTENING? WHY AREN'T YOU PROVIDING PARTS FOR THE DEUCE?

Its gotten old reading (not for FXSTD) at the bottom of the ads.

I keep hearing rumors of the model's demise, then later I'll hear about a makeover like the Dyna line received (big rear tire, etc.).
I hear you on the parts issue. I was looking around the dealership the other day, salesman asked ne what model I owned.
My response was that I was the proud owner of a 2004 softail "Except Deuce", since that's reference I am accustomed in the parts books... he left me the hell alone after that.

 

That's a shame (from a fatboy owner).. 1st time I ever saw the deuce I thought it was one of the coolest hogs I ever saw.. If It weren't that I wanted a fatter tire upfront, it would have been my choice.

 

Maybe the Deuce is about to be terminated. I can't imagine HD simply leaving it out of Softail lineup pics in the latest cataloge. I can't say that I'd mind. Its a good-looking but rare bike in my neck of the woods and I like having one.

A friend at the dealers told me that this is the last year for the springers. Anyone else hear that?

 

That's one great reason to own a Deuce, insect...mmm I mean Stealer Salesman repellant! The Deuce was my dream bike. I put $$$ down on one in 2001, got orders to deploy after 9-11, withdrew my offer and regretted it since. But, the bright side was I wouldn't of had much time to ride and I ended up with my new love.

 

I originally wanted a Deuce, but went the cheaper route and got a Train which I love. Good thing I didn't get it anyway. I would have put some high bars on it and it would have gotten Ugly.

Damn fine those Deuces are.....

 

It continues to be a mystery to me why HD seems to overlook the Deuce - IMHO it is the finest looking machine HD makes. Not too bad of an after market though.
