RE: fatboy tank & fenders
I'm gonna go out on a limb, but I believe this is correct. All fuel injected tanks 2000 & up and I believe all carb tanks from 04 & up, with a fitting adapter or something like that. You could probably look up individual painted parts in the catalog and get fitment years. The fenders from 2000 & up have been the same, excuding the extra wide rear fenders on the SE. I hope this helps. Why are you asking if you don't mind?

I've also surfed ebay a bunch at times thinking about doing the same thing.. vivid black on mine now.
If I had to do it, I'd like just plain ole silver/gray.. Like the original 90.. without the pinstripes.
To me, that looks the coolest.. real fatboy / military style .. to me anyway.
The bike always struck me to be styled after a military concept with the solid 'steamroller' wheels and the original gray to me looks the best with the cast wheels, without having to chrome out the wheels and front end.
So I've got an 04 carb model.. I've also wanted to know the part numbers.. The svc guy once told me it's easier to do newer sheet metal on an older bike than vice versa, as a general rule.
