Default Saddlebags

I asked the dealer how I can keep the bags from drooping on my new Heritage. He told me that the problem has been fixed. I don't see much difference in the way they are made compared to the older models. Has the problem been fixed?

wifes 07 looked good the first year and we treated the bags with treatment that came with the bike in the bags, after many rides being stuck in rain the are sagging, probably will send out to boss bags and have stiffners installed.

I find Cialis works very well for the dreaded droop.

I had to put Saggy Bag inserts in my O6 just recently, they looked good for a couple of years but were starting to sag. The inserts worked, they look almost like new again.

They are abit stiffer than the older models (pre07?) but they still sag. Mine (08) are starting after only 10 months. Getting soaked in a rain didn't help none. It's most noticible when I compare them to new ones.

I'll probably be sending mine out to bossbags in the fall or winter. Saggybags has alot of happy customers also and I may take a second look at them. Plus they're cheaper.

Just seems to me bossbags is a more professional looking job. I like the idea of rivets over glue.

I didn't noticed if you mentioned it but by "new" do you mean an 09. Maybe they did fix the problem this year?

Yes my bike is a 09. I just find it hard to believe that the problem is fixed. I compared the inside of my bags to an 2003 and I couldn't see much difference in the construction of the bag.

I have an 07 and I put no saggy bag inserts in mine. I like them and were easy to install besides why take a chance on them gettin saggy. BTW I use mink oil to treat mine.

I haven't checked out the bags on the 09s but next time I'm at the dealer I will. Unless they have some hard plastic on the top lids and sides I would say they're going to sag. My tops are already caving in. Judging from some of the Heritages I see some guys like the worn, saggy and tattered look. I don't, so mine will definitely be getting the "treatment" asap.

I wish someone sold aftermarket bags that were more rugged with the same look. My 08's got about 1200 miles on it and has seen it's share of rain and such, but they aren't saggin' yet. I just hope when they do I can get 'em back in shape.
