HDBones,&nbsp\\; She has already thought of that.&nbsp\\; I am a big boy 340LB. I have an 07 Ultra and may order a 09 to match her color.&nbsp\\; It won't be coming in until next March and the dealer told me we could change our minds anytime we wanted.&nbsp\\; I will try to get her to ride the Deluxe and Heritage this fall.&nbsp\\; She has ordered the White Gold Pearl and Pewter.

Either you are not riding hard enough or I must ride too hard then, it could be me.
I never scaped my Sportster just because it doesn't have floorboards.

A stock Heritage scrapes the boards easily.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; I can't imagine a lowered one.
I'm not anti Heritage, I had one.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\; But they don't handle worth a crap compared to a touring frame.
Ride one and go into a turn a little too hot.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\; You'll find out.
I doubt your word brother... but I have&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;owned a couple of different Glides... three Sportsters and now a X-Bones and never scraped anything on any of them... it just might be all in how you ride...

As for lowering the Heritage, I bought a set of Deluxe take-off shocks for $50 from my dealer and put them on mine.

I do scrape a board now and then but it's no biggie.

Heritage is a great handling and comfortable bike.&nbsp\\; And even though its the same weight as the Deluxe it feels much heavier.&nbsp\\;Whether it's the higher center of gravity or the higher handlebars I'm not sure but there is a difference.&nbsp\\; Try bringing them off stand and you'll see right away.

I have a Heritage and a Deuce.&nbsp\\; The Deuce is much more nimble and easier to corner than the Heritage.&nbsp\\; In the first 200 miles on the Heritage I dragged the floor board.&nbsp\\; The Heritage is a better long ride bike, and the Deuce is the bar hopping, poker run bike.&nbsp\\; The both have their place, but the wife likes the Deuce because at 5' 2" she can actually see around me on the Deuce.

I enjoy riding my wife's Heritage.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
She rode a sportster 1200L and she says the Heritage is much easier to ride.&nbsp\\; We had it lowered, not that she needed it, but she wanted the looks.&nbsp\\; And yes I can and have scraped the boards, but if she ever catches me, I'm dead meat.
&nbsp\\;
The Heritage was more bang for the bucks to us.

I lowered mine by one inch with low profiles. I do want to go to air ride someday though.

Just picked up my brand new 07 Heritage from dealer.&nbsp\\; I got them to lower it 1" as the guy said they can only be lowered 1" safely.&nbsp\\; So watch out how much you lower it.
